MATTED
COATS
Matts are often painful and can compromise the integrity of the skin, making it more sensitive and easier to tear, scratch 0r irritate.
If matting/knots are extensive, shaving the coat very short is the most humane option.
De-matting safely and carefully takes time is hard on equipment and will incur extra charges.
Reducing matts can be prevented by brushing your pet at home and bringing it for regular grooming.
Double Coats
Double-coated breeds have two layers to protect against arctic weather. The long guard hairs form the outer layer and protect against snow/ice and they shed water. The soft undercoat lies close to the skin and keeps your dog warm and dry. In summer, your dog should shed its soft undercoat, leaving mainly the guard hairs. The job of the guard hairs in warm weather is to protect your dog from sunburn and insulate him against the heat. We can help with the shedding and will get much more out than what would naturally occur.
Fleas
We take fleas in our grooming areas very seriously, especially the possibility of spreading fleas to other people's dogs. KW Clip'n'Brush reserves the right to refuse to groom your dog if it is found to have an excessive flea infestation. If your dog is found to have fleas, your dog will be bathed immediately with flea shampoo treatment and this cost will be added to the price. This treatment and cost is non-negotiable. If your dog has an excessive flea burden, you will be asked to collect your dog and an additional charge of $50 will be added to the price of the groom to contribute to the cost of fumigating the area.

We give a bath to our canine and feline clients with HYDROBATH. It promotes healthy skin and coat by giving a deep cleansing down to the root of the coat.
From a clipper to shampoo, we only use premium and natural grooming products for our furry clients. These products add up to comfortable, stress-free grooming and wellness of the coat.

Cancellation Policy
KW Clip'n'Brush kindly asks that you provide a minimum of 48 hours ' notice if you are unable to make your existing booking for any of the services offered. If prior notification is not given within the specified time frame, you will be charged the full price for the missed appointment. Payment must be received before a new appointment can be made.
Disclaimer
Please let us know if your dog has behavioral problems or aggressive tendencies. If your dog gets hurt or becomes ill, we may visit a veterinarian and all costs will be at your expense (as the dog owner). You (the owner) understand that you are legally responsible if your dog bites or hurts staff or other members of the public and/or their dog(s).
Your Dogs Behaviour
KW Clip'n'Brush reserves the right to refuse to accept your dog for grooming if your dog has ever bitten someone or has exhibited aggressive tendencies. You are obligated to advise KW Clip'n'Brush if your dog has behavioral problems or aggressive tendencies. In the event of injury or illness, veterinary care may be sought and all costs will be at the owner's expense. You (the owner) understand that you are legally responsible for any bites or injury sustained by KW Clip'n'Brush staff caused by your dog.
Matting
If your dog is matted, the coat will likely need to be clipped very close to the skin. by doing this there is a risk that your dog may suffer from clipper rash (irritation to the skin) and there is a possibility that the dog's skin could be cut. You agree (due to excessive matting and poor condition of the coat) that KW Clip'n'Brush will not be held liable for any costs or culpability should veterinary care be sought post-groom. Additional charges will apply if your dog is excessively matted as per our price guide.
New Clients
All new clients will need to be seen for a consultation prior to their time/date of appointed booking. One free consultation per client, an additional charge may be applied for further consultations.
Running late
Please let us know as soon as possible! It affects your service provider and other customers. Dogs arriving more than 10 minutes late will be considered a 'No Show' and the cancellation policy will be applied. Payment must be received before a new appointment can be made. Time has been reserved for your dog.
Your Dog's Health
All clients must disclose to the groomer all pre-existing medical conditions (past and present) and any changes to their dog's health for future visits. While the health, safety, and welfare of your dog are paramount, grooming can, in some cases, aggravate or upset certain medical conditions, particularly skin conditions. KW Clip'n'Brush is not liable for any pre-existing medical conditions or any health issues that come to light during the grooming process. You will accept all and any risk associated with your dog being groomed while having pre-existing medical conditions as well as medical problems that may manifest at a later time as a result of the grooming. KW Clip'n'Brush is not a qualified veterinarian so it is important to seek the advice of qualified professionals following to seek the advice of qualified professionals following any suggestions/recommendations made to you by the groomer.
Photographs
Photographs maybe taken of your dog while with KW Clip'n'Brush and these photographs may be posted on the KW Clip'n'Brush website or other social media used to promote KW Clip'n'Brush. If you do not with your dog's photograph to be used, please advise staff at time of booking.
